The great news is that you will be paying whatever tuition rate you
currently pay to Concordia University for your studies abroad!
Once you are accepted by your host institution to study abroad and
have confirmed to them and the CIAC of your intention to participate,
then you will be registered for 15 credits (five courses) STOQ on
your Concordia Transcript for the term abroad. STOQ stands for
‘Studies Outside of Québec’, and you are automatically charged for 15
credits of study per term abroad, which is the maximum allowed credits
that can be taken while studying on exchange.
You may in fact only register for 12 credits while abroad, this is
the minimum allowable amount of credits that can be taken while studying
on exchange. If this is the case, then once your credits from abroad
have been transferred back to your Concordia transcript, then your
student account will be credited for the tuition for 1 Concordia course
(e.g. 3 credits).
You are required to pay the tuition fees for STOQ prior to your
departure on the exchange. STOQ tuition fees are subject to the
same regulations and deadlines are standard Concordia tuition.
