What courses will you study abroad?
Generally, students will take 6 credits towards either their Major or
Minor and 6 Elective credits while studying abroad. Concordia University
requires that students complete a minimum of 50% of both their Major and
Minor at the Concordia University.
Applicants are required to submit a list of potential courses for each
of three choices for host institutions with their application. Once they
are approved to participate in the ISEP by the JMSB, and have been
accepted by their host institution, then the JMSB will provide
equivalencies/credit evaluation for those tentative courses abroad. You
will be required to submit a new list of potential courses to be taken
abroad, complete with course descriptions in either English or French,
number of contact hours per week for each course (classtime), and term
dates. At such time, the JMSB will officially set-up your potential
course equivalences for your studies abroad.
As a general rule, core courses for the JMSB should be taken here.
*Under no conditions can COMM 315 be taken for credit abroad.
